While in law school, Landon worked summers in a small law firm in her hometown of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina and found that she liked working directly with people and their problems. Upon graduating in 1980 she joined that firm rather than taking a job with a corporation or large firm. Soon afterwards she took a chance and opened her own practice – one of the first female solo practitioners in the area.

Landon moved to the Charlotte area in 1991 and opened her own practice. "When I first came to the Charlotte area… most of the law firms were located uptown near the courthouse. I decided to have my office near where people live and opened my first location in Mint Hill. In 1999, my family moved to University City, and I again saw a need for a law practice in the neighborhood.” With her family grown and starting families of their own, she moved to the Matthews area and located her firm near its historic downtown.

Landon has always enjoyed dealing personally with people and helping them with their legal needs whether in the area of Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Real Estate, Family Law or Small Business. With over forty years of experience, she not only knows the law but she understands that each person coming to her office has a unique set of facts and circumstances. She also knows that for many clients, dealing with the law – and with a lawyer - can be a time of high stress and emotions.

The Law Office of Landon A. Dunn is a small law practice that can provide individualized attention to every client. "I take a personal interest in my clients. My staff and I are committed to delivering excellent customer service.“ She will ask you “What’s going on….How can I help.”

Landon has two daughters and (at last count) six grandchildren and three dogs. An avid distance runner -she has completed close to twenty marathons –she can be spotted on the Matthews greenways or at the SportsPlex or relaxing with a craft beer at one of the local Matthews bars.
